How does the sweep work?
Riders should average approximately 20 km/h including stops to remain with event support. A sweep vehicle marks the end of the supported field; a rider bus is available after riders fall behind.
Can I continue after the sweep?
If you continue independently after the sweep, normal traffic resumes and event signage, mechanical support, nutrition and medical coverage may be removed. Follow all road rules and staff instructions.
How is timing recorded?
Riders receive electronic timing chips. Mount as instructed by the timing crew. Your official time begins when you cross the start line and results are published after the event.
What is available at feed stations?
Typical supplies include water, electrolytes, gels, fruit, bagels and snacks. Bring your own water bottles; the Fondo does not supply disposable cups or bottles.
What equipment should I carry?
Approved helmet, weather layers, spare tube or repair kit, hydration, nutrition, identification, charged phone and emergency information.
